Our starting point - the south-eastern end of Runway 2.

A stop on the main runway as was - Runway 1 - it's atthis point we have a good view to the west of the airfield, where we can also view one of the remaining base defence pillboxes.

On the perimeter track, between hardstand points 19 and 20, once the home of the 545th Bomb Squadron.
Airfield Guided Walk - 23rd August
Saturday 23rd August saw us welcome fifteen visitors to the airfield for our August guided walk. This walk covered the flying areas of the airfield - the remnants of the main runways, taxiways, both bomb dumps and also a couple of the remaining hardstands.
