Stanwick Lakes Family Fun Day - Sunday 20th July

We're looking forward to exhibiting at the Stanwick Lakes Family Fun Day on Sunday 20th July. There's a huge range of family friendly activities to try out on the day, entry is completely free - usual car parking charges apply.

Situated in the Visitor Centre, we'll have a range of exhibits from the Museum to display and will have volunteers on hand to answer any questions you may have on the project. The close links between the 384th and Stanwick Lakes has been forged through the erection of the Memorial, overlooking one of the lakes, a short walk from the visitor centre - this marks the place where the 303rd Bomb Group's B17 "Hells Angels II" crashed after colliding with the 384th's "June Bug", the wreckage of this aircraft coming to ground on the outskirts of Irtlingborough, a little further up the River Nene. The losses of both crews are remembered on the memorial.

With the assitance of the Heritage section at Stanwick Lakes, and the support as ever of their research and volunteer team, we will have a full display on show relating to this incident.

Come along, enjoy the day and take a well deserved break in their cafe, and of course - dont forget to drop in and say hi to us too!!
