Matt Smith - 384th Bomb Group & RAF Grafton Underwood Talk

On Thursday 23rd October we were able to host a talk and slide show on the history of the 384th Bomb Group and the Station 106, RAF GRafton Underwood.

Our speaker for the evening was Matt Smith, a familiar character to many people having done many talks on the topic over the years. Matt is also one of our guided walk leads. Having completed several talks through the year for local groups and clubs, it was great to have the opportunity for the Museum to host its own talk. The fact that we were able to hold it in the Village Hall at Grafton Underwood was perfect!

With an attendance of around fifty people, it was a great evening and an opportunity to catch up with everyone - whether old or new acquantancies, or members of the Volunteer team at the Museum, there was plenty to discuss.

All funds raised on the evening from entrance to the event are to be split between the Museum project and the Village Hall Committee, without their support the event would not have been possible.

Our thanks to everyone that came along on the evening to support us.
