Guided Walk - Communal & Museum Sites

Guided Walk - Communal & Museum Sites

Starts: October 17, 2026, 9:30 am
Ends: October 17, 2026, 1:00 pm
Location: Grafton Underwood

A 384th Bombardment Group Museum organised event - come with us on a guided tour of the Communal Sites side of the airfield, nestled deep within the ancient Grafton Park Wood. We'll be taking a look at some of the living areas of the base, including the famous 'Foxy Cinema' with the walk culminating with a trip to the Museum site, and with visitors given the opportunity of a tour within the two original Museum structures - the Norden Bomb Sight store, and the Operations Block. Tours meet at 9.30am, set off at 10am and will last for around 3 hours, covering 3 miles in distance. Pre-booking essential, please click on the link below to reserve your place.

We do not charge a fee in advance for our guided walks, but instead rely on peoples' goodwill to donate at the end of your visit - this ensures we can welcome anyone to visit us. Please remember that all proceeds raised go directly back into the Project, and fund raising like this enables the Project to survive, grow and flourish. A donation of £10 per person is politely and respectfully suggested - thank you.

In 2026 we will also offer the opportunity to enable us to claim Gift Aid on your donation (with permission), further enhancing the fundraising opportunity these walks provide us.
