As part of the Heritage Open Days - a series of events in September to celebrate England's heritage and culture - we're delighted to have the opportunity to support Stanwick Lakes' Heritage event on Saturday 20th September.
The day will feature re-enactment groups and their Viking and Roman camps, traditional crafts such as spinning and weaving, a chance to watch the onsite blacksmith at work and also to pay a visit to the Heritage Garden where it is possible to learn about the many uses plants had traditionally.
The 384th Bombardment Group Museum will be exhibiting in the central Visitor Centre, as we portay the history of the airfield, the lives of the many personnel of the 384th Bomb Group and the impact of the United States Army Air Force through the Nene Valley and surrounding areas. We'll also have updates on the Museum project at Grafton Underwood.
Entry to the event is free, car parking charges apply.
