The Museum was kindly nominated as the Charity to benefit from the regular Quiz Evening held at The Star Inn, Geddington.

The Star Inn itself is steeped in history, and has very close links with the airfield and the 384th Bomb Group, being one of the off-base locations frequented by personnel of the 384th Bomb Group. Mentions of the inn are regularly to be found in diaries, and memoirs.

It was therefore a fitting location for the quiz, which was organised by pub owner Richard, and hosted by quiz master duo Jackie and Gordon. It was a fantastically supported evening with a total of 12 teams taking part, with around 90 people.

The evening raised a fantastic total of £321.50 for the Museum. Events such as this enable the Museum to continue to pursue its aims of opening a Visitor Centre in the very near future, as part of the bigger Museum Project.

Our sincere thanks to Richard, Jackie and Gordon - plus also the amazing bar staff who ensured drinks were kept flowing through the evening. And finally of course, our thanks and gratitude to each individual that turned out on a cold Tuesday to take part, and support our charity.
